The fournos

The heart of the restaurant, our traditional wood-burning fournos(literally meaning oven) is fired up first thing in the morning and kept running all day. It's used to cook our delicious oven dishes ready for evening - chicken in sauce, lamb in sauce, gigantes, briam and many more - as well as our home baked bread that we serve with each meal.

It is kept hot for the evening when we use it to cook our unique cheese pie and freshly prepared pizzas and many other dishes. We also use the charcoal that is produced from the burning wood for our tender, succulent grills. You'll see us taking the glowing charcoal to the kitchen with a shovel as the orders come in!

The kitchen

We recently refurbished our kitchen moving it from the 20th to the 21st century! Although we create and cook our wide range of dishes using traditional methods, we also like to make sure that our kitchen reflects all that's best in modern hygiene and equipment. As you would expect, everything in the kitchen meets the most rigourous legal requirements for food preparation and restaurant standards.

The restaurant

Our large seating area has plenty of space for parties both big and small and mature vines provide cover and colour throughout. You may be surprised at our colour scheme if you're used to seeing blue and white all over the Greek islands. Our more muted colours are actually more traditionally Greek and we think they complement the vines and the pythoi (the large pots around the restaurant) better!
