Potami Beach is located in northern Samos, just outside Karlovasi, where the lush green gorge meets the Aegean Sea. It is one of the most impressive and distinctive beaches on the island, combining mountains, canyon scenery, and open sea in a landscape of intense natural beauty.

The shore is mainly pebbly with large stones, and the waters are clear and become deep relatively quickly. Due to its open northern exposure, there is often some wave action, which keeps the sea fresh and well oxygenated. The excellent water quality and proper beach management are confirmed by the fact that the beach has been awarded the Blue Flag, a certification related to cleanliness, safety, and basic facilities.

During the summer months, there are some organized amenities, such as a snack bar and umbrellas in part of the beach, without affecting the natural character of the area. Very close by starts the trail leading to the Potami Waterfalls, one of the most popular natural attractions of Samos, making the beach ideal for combining swimming with hiking.

Potami is not just a place for a quick swim, but a destination offering a complete nature experience, ideal for visitors who want to discover the more dynamic and wild side of northern Samos while still enjoying basic comfort and high environmental quality.
